What is the best golf mk1 engine conversion could I do?
I am in the process of restoring a mk1 golf and I wanted to make a little more agile. Where can I get the best guide Modificaton engine, does anyone have this in a textbook?
Go get a MK2 GTi 1.8 16v and then move a little. hottest cameras, sports, K & N filter, good exhaust and a chip, you should look around 170-180 hp without breaking the bank or ruin the driveability of the car. You can follow the path of turbo, but a naturally aspirated engine is always better to drive, and makes a noise better! I know the 2.8VR6 can be adapted, but it is a heavy weight of an engine and probably the management too upset. Take a look here. http://www.golfgti.co.uk/
