golf cart batteries can be changed votl April 1912 June 8 volts?
I have a 2006 Club Car Cart 48 volt with 4 batteries 12V and I about to have to get new batteries as original and not holding a charge long enough. "I can go to 8 6V batteries in this car, which will allow longer a basket game to cover more territory? All tips and advice appreceated. Thank you,
You can connect eight 6V batteries in series to a single 48V battery. But all batteries should be the same size and capacity or may overheat and destroy the battery of smaller capacity. All 6v and 12v batteries are actually a lot of 2v batteries connected in series. You would do the same with eight 6V batteries. The important issue is the physical space needed to accommodate eight batteries. Also the battery capacity 6V amp hours must be less than 12V battery or you will not get the resistance / Field. More batteries not necessarily mean a longer endurance.
